Bulletin Static Objects display in the space as freestanding formatted text boards. They're ideal for posting announcements, event schedules, linked resources, or simply used to label an area.
Access your Static Objects Manager
Access the Static Object Manager in the Space Settings Menu: Space Settings > Setting > Static Object in the Main (Hamburger) Menu.
Build a Bulletin Static Object
Set Type
Choose the Bulletin Static Object type from the horizontal menu bar. The default first option in the Static Object Builder is the Bulletin. If you've clicked around, choose Bulletin in the menu.
Note: all changes can be previewed before saving in the Preview Window at right.
Set User Authority
Choose the User Authority for this Bulletin. All Static Objects added may have a unique user Authority: choose the user role that may interact with each Static Object from the Select Authority drop-down menu. For Bulletins, a user given Authority will have the option to not only see the content, but also to edit the content right from the workspace. Choose Admin as the authority, and all users in the space may view the Bulletin content, but only Admins can edit the content.
Set Background Color
Select a Background Color for this Bulletin. This may be any solid color. Click into the field, and choose from the spectrum bar, use the dropper tool to copy any color on your desktop (useful for color-matching elements in your space), or enter specific color code values (RGB, HSL, or Hex values).
Set the Background Color transparency by using the slider.

Set Shadow Preference
Select/Deselect the Drop-Shadow option for this Bulletin. Depending on your space's background, it may help add some dimension and cal out the Bulletin as more than part of the background imagery.
Add Content
In the WYSIWYG window, add your text and format as needed. All basic formatting options are available, including color text and highlight options, hyperlinks, and lists. Small image uploads (including gifs) and video links are supported as well.
Set Size Dimensions
Size the Bulletin using the Width and Height value fields. The default Bulletin size is 100 X 100. Adjust the numbers to fit the contents of the Bulletin and/or to accommodate the placement in the space.
Note: Bulletin Objects that are too small to display the content in its entirety, will include scroll bars for users to access the content.
Set the Location
Finalize the placement of the Bulletin. By default, it will be placed in the workspace near the current location of your Avatar. In the Preview window, you may drag and drop the Bulletin where desired.
Alternately, you may set the location based on a specific location in the space's grid. This is helpful if aligning with other Static Objects in the space. Adjust the numbers in the X and Y axis fields to reposition the Bulletin where needed.
Save Your Work
Don't forget to click the Save button to make your Bulletin live in the space!
Editing Your Bulletin
You can view your new Bulletin in the Static Objects table, located just below the builder. Edit or Disable/Enable as needed.
What the User Experiences in the Space
Member/Visitor/Guest Experience
Because the User Authority is set to Admin, any user with Member, Visitor, or Guest user roles will only be able to view and interact with the contents of the Bulletin in the space.
Admin Experience
Because the User Authority is set to Admin, for Admins in the space, the window does provide Editor access to update the content when clicked from the open workspace.
