Overview
This feature reduces the processing load on a space during large-scale events with thousands of participants. By automatically dividing users into multiple "sub-channels," it distributes the system load for rendering avatars and processing chat messages.
*Note: This feature is only available when the space's user capacity is set to 1,000 or more.
Basic Behavior
Avatar and Chat Bubble Restrictions: Avatars and chat bubbles are only visible between users who belong to the same sub-channel.
Chat Panel: All chat messages within the space will appear in the chat panel, regardless of which sub-channel users are in.
User List: Users who only belong to a sub-channel (and are not in the main channel) will not be displayed in the user list.
Meeting Room Exception: The avatars of users inside a meeting room are visible to everyone, regardless of their assigned sub-channel.
Conditions for Auto-Addition to the Main Channel
Users who meet any of the following conditions will be automatically added to the "Main Channel." Users in the main channel have their avatars visible to everyone across all sub-channels and will also appear in the user list.
Users with permission roles specified in Space Settings (Feature Settings)
Users who turn on their microphone or camera (they will automatically leave the main channel when turned off)
Users who tap another user on the shoulder (automatically added to the main channel for 1 minute)

How to Configure
1. Click the three-line main menu icon in the space header and select the "Space" tab.
*Note: If you are not an Organization Owner, you do not need to select a tab.
2. Click Space Settings → "Feature Settings"
3. Toggle "Enable Sub-channel Feature" to ON
4. Configure the following details as needed:
Roles Allowed to Join the Main Channel: Select from "Admins Only" or "Members and Above (Default)" (Users with the configured role will always remain in the main channel, making their avatars visible to everyone)
Roles Allowed to Change Sub-channels: Select from "Admins Only," "Members and Above (Default)," or "All Users"
Threshold for Creating New Sub-channels: Specify the number of users required to automatically create a new sub-channel (Default: 400)
Example: Initially, only Sub-channel (1) exists. When the number of users reaches 400, Sub-channel (2) is automatically generated, and when it reaches 800, Sub-channel (3) is automatically generated.
Maximum Sub-channel Capacity for Visitors: Specify the maximum number of users allowed in a channel for visitors to manually move into (Default: 500)
Example: When the limit is set to 500, if Sub-channel (1) has 500 users and Sub-channel (2) has 350 users, visitors cannot move to (1) and can only move to (2). *Note: Admins and Members are not subject to this restriction.
How to Operate on the Space Screen
Users with permission to change sub-channels can manually switch channels from the space header.
1. Click the sub-channel display (current channel name) located in the header at the top of the space screen.
2. Select the destination sub-channel from the dropdown menu.
The menu displays the current number of users in each sub-channel.
Tips
For users without change permissions, the selection menu will not be displayed, and the channel display cannot be clicked.
Users with Visitor roles cannot select sub-channels that have already reached their configured maximum capacity.
