If you are a space administrator or member, you can remain connected to the space even when the Desktop App window is minimized or hidden.
Running in the Background
You can run the app in the background using the following methods:
| On Windows | Click the minimize button on the window, or click Minimize under Window. (Minimize) |
| On Mac | Click the 'x' button on the window, or click Close Window under File. (Close Window) |
Behavior While Running in the Background

You can receive OS notifications from the app.
- Your connection to the space is maintained.
Checking the Space You Are Currently Accessing - You can hear ambient audio and receive call-outs or Shoulder Taps.
- You will be displayed in the space as **Available** on both OSes.

Tips

Visitors/Guests will exit the space and will not maintain connection or receive notifications if the window is closed.
