If you're a space administrator or member, you'll retain access to the space even if you close or minimize the desktop app window.
Background startup
You can start it in the background by following the steps below.
| For Windows | Minimize the window, or click Window > Minimize |
| For Mac | Click the X button on the window, or click File > Close Window |
Behavior when running in the background

It is possible to receive OS notifications for the app.

Your access status will be maintained.
Check the space you are currently accessing - You will be able to hear nearby audio and receive calls and shoulder taps.
- In the space, your avatar will be displayed with the following status for each OS.
| ▼On Windows, this will be displayed as “Available.” | ▼On a Mac, it will be displayed as "Away." |
Tips

If you are a visitor or guest, closing the window will take you out of the space and you will not be able to retain your access status or receive notifications.
- To leave a space, administrators and members must either close the app or follow the instructions below.
