You can set up custom icons to display above the avatars of specific users or roles (Admin / Member / Visitor).
How to Set Up Icons
1. Click the main menu (three lines icon) in the space header and select the "Space" tab.
*If you are not the organization owner, you do not need to select a tab.
2. Go to Space Settings and click "Feature Settings."
3. Click the "+" button in the "Custom Icon for Avatar" section to open the add/edit settings modal.
Selecting and Uploading Icons
Select from preset icons or custom icons you have uploaded.
Click the "+" button to upload an image file from your device (Supported formats: SVG, PNG, GIF / Max size: 2 MB).
Uploaded custom icons will be available for other users in the space to use.
Preview and Adjusting Size/Position
In the preview screen, use your mouse to adjust the icon's size and its position on the avatar.
*Note: Icons cannot be placed too far from the avatar, or in positions that overlap with other components on the avatar (such as emojis or the mute icon).
Specifying Target Users / Roles
Select the "Users" or "Roles" you want to apply the icon to (focusing on the input field will display a list, which is also searchable).
Only users with "Admin" or "Member" roles will be displayed in the user list.
-
All roles (Admin, Member, Visitor) will be displayed in the roles list.
*Note: Only one type of icon can be configured per user or role (targets that already have an icon configured cannot be selected).
Managing Settings (List View)
Saved icon settings will be displayed in the table (list) within the section.
| Icon | Target Users / Roles | Actions |
|---|---|---|
| Configured icon image | Applied user names or role names (displays "+X others" if there are 3 or more) | Edit (opens the edit modal) / Delete (deletes the setting after confirmation) |
Tips
-
Where they appear
Configured icons will only appear above avatars in the Open Space.
-
Where they do not appear
They will not appear inside meeting rooms, the user list, or the bottom toolbar. (*This behavior differs from features such as the Birthday Hat.)
-
Priority when settings overlap
If icon settings for a specific role overlap with settings for an individual user, the icon set for the individual user takes priority and will be displayed.
