Items in the "Organization" Tab Are Grayed Out and Cannot Be Opened

The "Organization" tab is displayed for all users, but the items in it are grayed out if you do not have permission to open them. Even space admins cannot open them unless they are Organization Owners or users in a group assigned permissions in Permission Groups.

Users Who Can Use Each Item

Item Users who can open it
Organization Settings Organization Owners, or users with any organization permission
*Only the menus you have permission for are available after opening it.
Plans and Billing Organization Owners, or users with the "Plans and Billing" permission
Remote Work Report Users with the Organization Owner Management permission (paid plans and free trials only)

What to Do

Ask an Organization Owner to do one of the following.

If You Do Not Know Who the Organization Owner Is

Users without organization permissions cannot check who the Organization Owner is on the screen. Users with the User Management permission can check "Org. Owner" in the "Org Role" column of the organization user list.

The Organization Owners are initially set as follows.

Space creation date Organization Owner
On or before April 30, 2023 All admins of the space
On or after May 1, 2023 Only the one admin who started using the space

If "No options" Is Displayed When Adding an Organization Owner

No user matches the name or email address you entered. Candidates are users with the Admin or Member role in a space in the organization and users invited as admins or members (excluding existing Organization Owners). The following users are not displayed as candidates.

  • Users with only the Visitor or Guest role
*Change their role to Member or higher in the User List first.
  • Users deleted from organization users, and users whose invitation has expired or been deleted
  • Users who are already Organization Owners

*Invited users are displayed by their email address instead of a name.
*The Free Plan allows only one Organization Owner.
