Proximity Circles

The grey circle around an avatar or object indicates the area within which audio, video, etc. can be shared.

For Avatars

  • The Whisper Mode allows you to change the range to half its size for a certain period of time.
  • The orange line represents the avatar's orientation. The direction the avatar is facing has a wider range, and the opposite direction has a narrower range.
  • An orange line will be displayed in the direction you clicked. You
Want to point your avatar (orange line) towards the other person.
  • The closer you are to the other person's avatar, the louder the sound will be, and the farther away you are, the quieter the sound will be.
  • To learn how to have a conversation, see here.
  • Any audio or video communication within the circle will be shared with all users in the circle. For private communication, we recommend using the conference room.

For Objects

  • The size of the circle can be changed from 0.5 to 64 times depending on the user's authority.

  • Any audio or video communication within the circle will be shared with all users in the circle. For private communication, we recommend using the meeting room.
  • When viewing or watching YouTube or iframe objects, you must also move within the circle.
  • When you connect to an object, your own avatar's range will switch to the range of the connected object. (If you are not connected to an object within the range of the object, your own avatar's range applies.)
  • If you have your own microphone turned on while connecting to an object, the range indicator will change from light grey to blue.
