New Local AI and Translation Features
In the desktop app, you can now use "Local AI," which runs only on your computer. What you enter and the AI's answers are processed on your computer and are not sent to external AI services, which makes it easier to work with information you do not want to share outside your company. Local AI does not use PASS.
Download a model in User Settings > "Desktop App" > "Local MyAI models," and select it from the model selector in My AI.
When you turn on "Translation," you can translate text in other apps by selecting it and quickly pressing ⌘+C (Mac) or Ctrl+C (Windows) twice. Japanese, English, and Korean are supported.
*Supported environments: the desktop app on Mac (Apple silicon, macOS 26 or later) and Windows (64-bit). Local AI is not available on Intel-based Macs, in the browser version, or in ovice Go.
*Required memory: 16 GB or more for Gemma 2B and 32 GB or more for Gemma 4B. On computers that do not meet these requirements, the model cannot be downloaded or used.
*Local AI uses a lot of memory (approx. Gemma 2B: 6 GB, Gemma 4B: 8 GB), so your computer may slow down if many other apps are open. Before using it for the first time, save your work and close apps you are not using. If your computer becomes slow while using it, stop using it and click "Delete model."
