Record participants' audio, camera video, and shared objects within meeting rooms.

Required Permissions

The following Roles are required to start a recording:

  • Administrator
  • Member

 

Starting a Recording

1. Enter a meeting room.

2. Click the recording button on the control toolbar.

3. Notify the participants that you are starting a recording, then click "Start Recording."

A timer will appear in the top-left corner, and the recording will begin.

 

Recorded Footage

The recorded video captures the view seen by the Recording Bot in the meeting room, rather than the screen of the user who started the recording.

If multiple objects are shared simultaneously in the center field of the meeting room, the recording priority is as follows:

  1. Spotlighted objects or camera feeds
    When an item is Spotlighted, it is recorded in the foreground and shown in full view.
  2. The most recently opened object
    If Spotlight is not used, the most recently opened object will be recorded in the foreground and shown in full view.

 

Stopping a Recording / Accessing Files

Only the user who started the recording can stop it.

1. Click the Stop button on the control toolbar or click "■STOP" at the top-left of the screen.

2. Receive the recording file

Within a few minutes after the recording stops, an email will be automatically sent to the user who started the recording.

*The download link is valid for 7 days. If the link expires, it cannot be reissued. Please handle the link carefully, as anyone with the URL can access the file.
*Files are stored in AWS S3 and are not encrypted.

A confirmation dialog asking for consent will appear before entry.

Identifying the Recording User

A recording icon will be displayed next to the person's name in the room participant list.

Tips

  • The maximum duration for a single recording is 60 minutes.
     
  • When recording starts, a Recording Bot avatar is automatically generated and added to the meeting room. This Bot can enter even if the room is at full capacity. The Bot's entry and exit will be recorded in the access logs just like a regular user.

  • Recording automatically stops once the 60-minute limit is reached. If you wish to continue recording, click "Start New Recording" to begin another session of up to 60 minutes.

  • A timer is displayed in the top-left corner once recording begins. Notifications will appear 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute before the 60-minute limit is reached.

 

FAQ

How do I enable or disable the recording feature for my space?

To enable the recording feature (available for Business / Enterprise plans), please submit an application via our form. Currently, users cannot disable the feature themselves. If you wish to disable it, please contact us.

 

Can I transfer the permission to stop a recording while it is in progress?

No, other users cannot stop the recording session.

 

What happens if the user who started the recording goes offline unexpectedly?

The recording will automatically stop if the user who started it goes offline or leaves the meeting room. The recording file up to that point will be sent to the user via email.

 

Language used when using the Transcription Object

When a Transcription Object is recorded, the language displayed in the video follows the Language Settings configured by the user who started the recording. In multilingual meetings, both the recording user's language and the speaker's original language will be displayed on the object within the footage.
