Record participant audio, camera video, and shared objects in meeting rooms.

Required Permissions

To start recording, you must have one of the following permissions:

  • Admin
  • Member

 

Starting a Recording

1. Enter a meeting room.

2. Click the Record button on the Control Toolbar.

3. Inform participants that you are starting the recording, then click "Start Recording."

A timer will appear in the top-left corner, and recording will begin.

 

Recorded Video Content

The video records the screen displayed to the Bot that joins the meeting room, rather than the screen of the user who started the recording.

If multiple objects are shared simultaneously in the central area of the meeting room, they will be recorded in the following order of priority:

  1. Spotlighted object or camera video
    When Spotlighted, the content will be recorded in front and full view.
  2. The most recently opened object
    If Spotlight is not used, the object that was opened last will be recorded in front and full view.

 

Stopping a Recording / Accessing the Recording File

Only the user who started the recording can stop it.

1. Click the Stop button on the Control Toolbar, or click "■STOP" at the top left of the screen.

2. Receive the recording file

An email will automatically be sent to the user who started the recording within a few minutes after stopping the recording.

* The access link is valid for 7 days. Once expired, it cannot be re-issued. Anyone with the link can access the file, so please handle it with care.
* Files are stored in AWS S3 and are not encrypted.

 

Participant View

When Recording Starts The following message will be displayed in the top-left corner of the screen:

During Recording You can confirm that recording is in progress in the top-left corner of the screen.

When Recording Ends You can confirm that recording has ended in the top-left corner of the screen.

Joining a Meeting in Progress

A confirmation dialog requesting consent will appear before you enter the room.

Identifying the Recording Host

A recording icon will appear next to the user's name in the Room Participant List.

Tips

  • The maximum recording duration per session is 8 hours.
     
  • When recording starts, a Recording Bot avatar is automatically generated and added to the meeting room. The Bot will enter even if the meeting room is already full. Entry and exit events for this Bot are recorded in the Access Log, just like regular users.

  • Recording will automatically stop when it reaches the maximum duration (8 hours). If you wish to continue recording, click "Start New Recording" to record for up to another 8 hours.

  • Once recording starts, a timer is displayed in the top-left corner. Notifications will also appear 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute before reaching the maximum limit (8 hours).

 

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enable or disable the recording feature in my space?

To enable the recording feature (available for Business and Enterprise plans), please submit an application using the inquiry form. Currently, users cannot disable the feature on their own. If you wish to disable it, please contact us.

 

Can I transfer the permission to stop recording to another user during recording?

No, other users cannot stop the recording.

 

What happens if the user who started the recording unexpectedly goes offline (e.g., network issues)?

The recording will automatically stop as soon as the user who started it goes offline or leaves the meeting room. The recording file created up to that point will be sent via email to the user who started the recording.

 

Which language is displayed when using a Transcription Object?

When recording a Transcription Object, the language shown in the video follows the Language Settings configured on the object by the user who started the recording. For multilingual meetings, both the recording initiator's language and the speaker's original language will be displayed on the object in the video.
