OS Notification Settings

When using ovice with a web browser, it is possible to receive notifications from the web browser. If you do not receive a notification, please check the following.


Notification Type

The following types of notifications are received from ovice. Also, the tab in which the ovice is open must be in an inactive state to receive notifications.

  • @mention chat
  • calling
  • shoulder tap
  • Conversational approach (When you or the other party is on the microphone, approaching the range of voice
    notification message: "◯◯ is about to talk to you"
    * In this case, the following conditions must also be met.
    • You haven't moved your avatar for 1 minute
    • Haven't received any web browser notifications for 1 minute
  • Intercom
    * In this case, the following conditions must also be met.
    • It is a user right that can receive the intercom

Items to Check

1. Check permission for space notifications

2. Web browser settings

Click the lock icon on the left of the address bar and check that the notification item is Allow.


2. OS settings (notification)

Please refer to the following and allow notifications for the web browser you are using.

3. OS settings (focus mode)

Notifications may not come because you have set focus mode. Turn off focus mode if you have it set.

4. Notification screen selection

If you have multiple monitors, make sure you've selected the correct monitor for notifications.



  • If you want to change the pop-up display time, you can change it in the OS settings. Please check the support page of each OS.
